Recycling Center
Upper Tulpehocken Township residents and non-residents that would like to participate in the UTT Recycling Program are asked to complete the Recycling Application to obtain a key fob for entrance into the recycling center. Township resident annual fee is $25. Berks County resident annual fee is $40. Non- Berks County residents annual fee is $50. The fee is for a calendar year, with all fobs renewed January 1.

PLEASE NOTE: If the ID number on the back of your key fob is illegible, or you are applying for a new key fob, please enter zeroes as a place holder in that field when paying online.
Please remember: Place items in designated bins. It is never appropriate to leave recyclables or any type of trash outside the drop-off containers. This ongoing practice creates added Township expenses. If the bin is full, please take your recyclables back home with you and contact the municipal office.
Acceptable materials for recycling at Upper Tulpehocken Township include:
Glass- clear, green, and, brown bottles and jars
Plastics- #1 - #7, bottles and containers only
Aluminum Cans- food and beverage cans only
Bi-Metal Cans- any food containers
Mixed paper- newspaper, magazines, phone books, junk mail, office paper, lightweight cardboard,
Aluminum Cans are also being accepted in the fenced in area next to the township garage, to benefit the Strausstown Volunteer Fire Company. This is an ongoing fundraiser for the fire company.
